Our mision

Injury Free Miami/The Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Miami®️, a countywide child injury prevention program, at the Jackson Health System/University of Miami aims to reduce child injury through standardized injury prevention education.
This program provides service providers and families in Miami Dade County with multilingual interactive training on child safety in the home, car, water, and community. Injury Free Miami/ The Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Miami mission is to prevent unintentional injuries and fatalities of children as well as making our communities safer for children in a manner that is respectful of Miami’s various cultures, beliefs and lifestyles by empowering this diverse population through outreach, education and research. This prevention program utilizes proven strategies and established curricula and is provided in three languages.
The dedicated staff also utilize the Injury Free Miami Mobile unit, a model injury prevention program for hands-on education regarding home safety, Poison Safety, and water safety. A broad menu of additional educational options is available, based on American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations, as well as further customized training based on the request of the provider. The program occurs throughout the year and is available especially for those in high-risk and vulnerable areas in the county.
